Under the slogan “We feed the World!”, the Central European Gathering of Women Farmers 2017 is taking place in village Vrmdža near Soko Banja in Serbia, on October 18-20th.
It is open for all women farmers involved in organic food production coming from Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
CEWFG 2017 will create the space, and safe environment for women to meet, share and learn from each other, as well as to improve their disadvantaged and economically noncompetitive position by being trained on skills they lack of. Particularly, it will strengthen networking of women’s organic producers in the Balkans and the Central Europe, enable exchange of experience in organic farming, increase women’s farmers business skills and share the best practice examples in marketing and sales of organic products from targeted countries.
This is the second Central European Women Farmer Gathering after first in 2015. It is organized by the non-profit civil organization from Serbia “Ama – Centre for the Care of People and Nature“ with the support of the Central European Initiative.
